I find the poll results contained in this Newsweek article frightening. I am most concerned that 62 % of the respondents favor teaching creation science and evolution in the schools. And 43 % only want creation science taught! This article reveals that much of the American public is ignorant, lacks critical thinking skills, and clings desperately to long refuted notions of the way the universe came into existence. It explains how a dangerous dullard could be re-elected president. I believe as a nation we have regressed, and I fear for our future.
It explains the mainstream America are traditionalists and the progressive lunatic fringe are losing the battle which is good for Red America. I have to take off my hat to the PLF for getting their message out at all but they have secured their channels. Fortunately or Unfortunately (depending on how you look it) the traditionalists have had a big wake up call and must follow out the mandate of the last election. I see from your post that you equate faith based people with ignorance. Such a shame. I hope you accept the holy spirit before you check out of this world. At least those would be my prayers for the Christmas holidays. Just remember that he is the reason for the season.
