I equate people who believe in the Bible as literal truth as ignornant, plain and simple! I take it you embrace everything as if God wrote it? The misogyny, the historical inaccuracies, the advocation of slavery, the stoning of recalcitrant sons at the city gates (I could go on but why bother)? And which of the two creation myths do you believe in as there are two in Genesis? I take it you haven't pondered such things as they may interfere with your pathetically narrow, and unquestioning world view. Good God, Missy, even the Pope views it as an allegory. John Lennon was right, "living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see".  And please don't pre-suppose that if I don't buy into biblical literalism that I don't have faith. I'm glad you responded to my post, as you typify much of the red state mentality. I mean, if you unquestioningly buy into biblical pronouncements, then why question a president who professes to embrace the same scripture.
