What is the RR Hall of Fame's problem with Mellencamp?

I don't get it. Mellencamp was eligible for induction at least a year ago and they passed him over then. Now they are passing him over again. I don't get it. Here is a true ambassador of artistic freedom and those people have chosen to slap him in the face by passing him over while putting in Bob "Like a Rock" Seger before him. Frankly, I love the Prentenders, but I hardly believe they have been more instrumental in music than John Mellencamp and oddly, during her career, Chrissy Hynde has been as every bit as vocal as Mellencamp. Shame on them.....
