Well if your tired old friend does not want to be bored, let me suggest the following recording : 1930 by Masami Akito (aka Merzbow).   I believe it's released on Tzadik (John Zorn's label).

You can decide for yourself if this is really music at all, a soundscape, or just plain noise.  To my mind, it is indeed music, and perhaps the shape a lot of electric or electrically generated music will take in the future.   The last track, Iron,Glass, Blocks and White Light is my fav, and a real masterpiece.
