The Prez's swearing-in takes place this Thursday. The money spent will be unprecedented. The deficit is at record levels. The Iraqi electoral process is in a death spiral. The press coverage will be laudatory and uncritical.

I listened to Dan Bern's "After the Parade" today and it seemed appropriate to the events of this week.
