About a month ago, had a hellacious wreck. Bek, Sarah, my mother
and myself were driving to Mt Baldy to go snowboarding and
whack, a head on-ish collision with a Cadillac Escalade at highway
speeds. Totalled my car, (a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and the
Escalade, to give you an idea of the velocity. Airbags deployed, no
permanent injuries, but we had a nasty scare as Bek got a deep (to
the bone) cut on his forehead, which caused a huge amount of
bleeding. All's well that ends well, though. Can't remember what
we were listening to. Probably NPR. Directly after the crash there
was a terrific bang from under the Escalade--thought the gas tank
might be going, but it was the front axle snapping. Nasty nasty
crash. Gotta love them airbags. scary scary day, though. hate to see the children bleed.db
