Win, win and win some more. Also, it's all about making money, gaining power and keeping industry happy. Pollute those rivers, stink up the air, exploit nature, but as long as Big Industry is happy, the Bushies are happy. Take the winning - over the past five years, I have not seen a partisan group of politicians of one party or the other throw away their political philosophies like the Conservative Republicans have. Are they about states' rights or not? Do they believe in fiscal responsiblity or not? Are they nation builders or not? Are they for activists judges or not? Torture or not? It just goes on and on as I have earlier mapped out. Next, as far as "good politics" Bush style, it means pushing ANY thing that is good for his peer group and social class, regardless of what it means to the rest of us. Look at Haliburton. Fraud out the ass and our troops being shortchanged when it comes to food and equipment, but have you ever heard the Bushies say any ONE bad thing about Haliburton or any of its smaller companies? And as I have said, yes, this goes on in both parties to some extent, however, the Conservative Republicans are the best at it. Somehow, they continue to throw the turd bombs at everyone without any of the residual crap landing on them. Hope this helps...
