A straight copy will probably sound like crap. You should get the thing cleaned up by someone with editing software.
A few years back I bought the soundtrack to Echo Park on cassette. (Baerwald and Ricketts both have tracks on it, and it was not released on CD.) I paid the guy that sold it to me $20 to clean it up and burn it to a CD.
