Pat, it seems to me that one of the last times Dan posted he wrote he was on some really slow link-up, so I would be a little patient. Looking forward to your political ruminations and very glad you are healthy again. GM is himself and no other. Question: The sound on my computer at work makes everyone sound like they are in chipmunk mode. What can I do to make the sound normal? Thanks
There is a joke that we programmers live buy:
Q. How many programmers does is take to screw in a light bulb?
A. None because that is a hardware problem.

I'm horrible about hardware stuff I hope this problem has been fixed. Nothing like Alvin and the Chipmunks singing Welcome to the Boomtown :)

My political revelation came as I was listening to Bill Orielly when he was talking about the radical right and the radical left. He claims he is the only journalist among the commentators and he is probably right.  I listen to commentators who support what I already believe.  I have to admit that but I also believe that is what this think tank up here does so I don't really feel all that bad about it. I've listened to some of the commentators and that includes Orielly that simply shut down someone with an opposing view. It's rare that a good one will get through because generally they are cherry picked by the screeners. Books I've been listening to lately on CD have been Slander, Treason which are basically repeats. I think Ann Coulter is a snooty bitch that needs to get a real job. I've also been listening to Bias and Arrogance by Bernard Goldberg (any relation to Ian?...nah). He is a little more credible to me having been in the press for a good long while. His point is simple and easy to investigate.  The printed media drives the newsrooms and the printed media starts with the New York Times and to a lesser extent the Washington Post. Nationwide other newspapers and newsrooms pick up on these two and drive the talking points home. Since these are left of center newspapers it trickles down. That is just the way it is.  I can remember when I was kid my dad not taking the St. Louis Post Dispatch because of the political commentary.  At the time I had now idea why.  There is another fact that journalists are overwhelming liberal as upposed to conservative journalist. That is just a fact. A recent study of college professors showed that 72% of them admitted to being liberal and on what is called the elite or Ivy league schools it is 87% admitted professors are liberal. This % is up considerably from just 10 years ago. A good question is why is that? What would we hear from the ACLU if those %'s were reversed?
The last book I've been reading is Men in Black about the Supreme Court. Left or Right I do not like having no accountability to the peoples will. I do not like legislation coming from the bench overriding "states rights". Something is broken here and it damn sure needs to be fixed. Lastly I would like to hear some solutions from "the other side" instead of bomb throwing. They are quick to denigrate but slow in a viable game plan. I'm sincerely hoping that Hillary is not the best game they got for my sake..........
