I'm not trying to diss or lessen the musical 'genius' of the Fab Boys, but I do agree and like John Mellencamp's words about The Beatles the best, as stated in the recent issue of Rolling Stone:

"Listen to the songs on the first three Beatles albums. Take their voices off, and it's Buddy Holly. The Rolling Stones, too. A lot of the stuff they did on their first couple of records was pure Buddy Holly."

Buddy Holly; pure musical genius deserves credit where credit IS due.
