Though I missed the Housemartins the first time around, I immediately embraced many of the Brit singers/bands from the late 70's (The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers (N.Ireland), Costello, Parker, The Jam, Tom Robinson Band). Perhaps it was because I was a frustrated 17 year old, but for me, the power and the passion that roared out of the UK during that time period has not been equalled. If you can think of any Housemartins type bands that I should check out, please let me know.
