A few years ago I read an interview with the band in a magazine (sorry, forget which one), and the focus of the article is what is considered progressive rock these days, and if the term is still appropriate to bands like Marillion. Hogarth said that they dislike the tag and just consider themselves a rock band. I guess that fits, if you listen to Anoraknophobia and Marbles.
