Pat,That series started out wonderful and the powers that be at NBC completely ruined it. If you watch all the episodes you will understand how the 2nd season killed the show. It turned into a predictiable crime drama. Don't know the history of why DB's song didn't become the theme song, though it was played in one of near end episodes.Have you ever seen the episodes of EZ Streets? It was another one of those shows that was too smart for TV and was prematurely killed. It had great music in it - Loreena McKennitt, Mark Isham, Caroline Lavelle - and was written by Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby screenplay and writer and director of Crash)....
