All valid points Dale.  They seem to be milking the nostalgia every time one/some of them need more dough.  I mean WTF?  They have literally been a non-entity for quite a while now, contributing nothing worthwhile to the music community,and just re-assembling for these farewell events.   I say good-bye, and really, good-riddance. 

I'd understand it more, if they were seriously working on new music, wanted to share that with the world, and were touring to support it. This b.s. has got to stop, and the audience should respond in kind by not going to the shows.   Henley??!  Don't get me started. 

I do wish however, that Joe Walsh would completely dissassociate himself with anything "eagle", go grab Joe Vitale, and Kenny Passerelli(?sp), and hit the road hard as a reformed Joe Walsh Group or James Gang.   Oh to hear him crank out Welcome to the Club, Walk Away etc.. I'd buy a ticket for that one.
