Its bad right now, there's no denying that. Downright ugly. The tones from the top are nothing but arrogance and condescension and outright lies.

And right here on this board, most of the points presented from those of us on the left, are from people who are frustrated and angry that their voice is not being heard. And if it is heard its seems to be dismissed without reasonable discussion.

That is not democracy. I don't want to get into it with pat or dale, but in my opinion they tend to offer lots of opinions. Opinion that often fly in the face of what we on the left take as fact. And again more often than not EEE, Reg and others go out of their way to back up what they are saying. I know Yadda yadda yadda.

But since no one around here trusts ANY news source anymore, we're left to pick through the carnage and decide what seems "truest" to us. Not because it suits our desires, just because its the closest to the verifiable fact we can get.

And the facts are ugly. Whatever Dick Durbin said or how he said it...isn't the point. He pointed out facts of Gitmo. But that was lost in the deluge of "Oh my God he just called our sons and daughters Nazi's"

No he didn't but its an easy way to avoid the tough questions. And its something that the right excels at. Deception and diversion. And they are getting panicky because we are not as afraid anymore and a few , even on the right are daring to stand up and call them out. That is until pressure is brought to bear on them and they fold back into their nice cushy, political, millionaires lives.

3 more years of these fuckers. 3 more years of Us & Them from the self proclaimed Uniter. Its Bullshit. Its obvious and its anti American almost every step of the way.

If I thought militias were centralist's I'd be glad they were around. But big business, the NRA, and the goddamn bottom line of profits is what America is today. At least that what my leaders tell me it is by their actions.

There is too much power and money at stake for this nations current form of government to maintain true moral integrity. And we've let it become what it is. We are every bit as beholden to Madison Ave and our self perceptions to be bothered to watch to see if our elected officials are really acting in our best interests.

When all is said and done the current President Chimp will be replaced by another President Chimp, unless we start really, genuinely, honestly talking about facts and not calling each other names (Which I know I did. The Fuckers)
