Yeah, I see what you mean. Judging from the bulk of what I heard from the group, the more out stuff (and I have plenty of that) would probably not fly, but ya never know what interests people have.  I put some soundscape stuff on a comp once (I might stick it on one here also..it's interesting to say the least), and one guy went bananas over it.  So if it just trips one other person's switch aside from your own, I think it's worth including the occasional (as you say) weird thing.
