You know, all this distraction and finger pointing in the other direction would be slightly plauseable if it weren't for the documented record covering 20 years of votes, statements and assosiations of Senator Lott. 

Either way, it's a moot point, since he's threatening to resign his senate seat if the caucus removes him from leadership, which would allow his Democratic Govenor to appoint a replacement.
