I want you to show me a post of mine where I have EVER mentioned a "peace treaty" with the terrorists. And when you find it, let me know, because it is not there.

All I have ever stressed is we have to understand the enemy. That is the only way to defeat them and with the current climate in Washington, that will never happen.

What we have to understand is that these people are not psychotic or cowards. You need to read a few more things about the way they think. I wish I had the exact issue number, but in Harper's magazine there was an interview with an al Queda member and what he said is very, very frightening. He explained how they think - they are not nuts or cowards and when we think of them that way is where we go wrong. Basically, to them, their religion is all that matters.

Let me try to reduce this - you are a parent, right? I'm a parent as well. Is it fair to say that to protect your child, you would do almost anything? I know I would.

That is just one aspect to these people.

In another article in Time magazine, they found a young insurgent and he said that there is a months long waiting list for suicide bombers. MONTHS LONG. There are people out there waiting for months to strap on a bomb and blow people up. I don't know about you, but I've been in a couple of mental facilities and that is a lot of people. Too many to list as psychotic and cowards.
