the four corners area is my old stomping grounds, krav. certainly an amazing place. now that i'm transplanted elsewhere, i kick myself for some of the things i didn't dote on when i was there.two great books about the mesa verde (and other) anasazi:In Search of the Old Ones by David Roberts... a recent look at ancient southwest ruins and the mysteries about the people who built and then abandoned them. The Delight Makers by Adolf Bandelier... a weird attempt at historical fiction set on the pajarito plateau in the late anasazi period. must be taken in context of when and by whom it was written (1890 by one of the first archaeologists in the area).
