From the Houston Chronicle: " The Navy has hired
Quelle surprise....Houston-based Halliburton Co. to restore electric power, repair roofs and remove debris at three naval facilities in Mississippi damaged by Hurricane Katrina." The Chronicle says that a Halliburton subsidiary, KBR, will also perform damage assessments at naval facilities in New Orleans.KBR got the work under a pursuant to a contract awarded to it in a competitive-bid process in 2004, the Chronicle says. There's no word on whether Dick Cheney was involved then, or really on what he's doing now.
