Does he even give a damn?  In four years, he'll be working for the Carlyle Group.  He'll walk out of office and leave the whole mess for the next group to deal with.  Doesn't anybody get it?  As Phil Donahue pointed out, we are going to get out anyway, why prolong the agony?  Pundits like O'Reilly will say that we can't leave now or it will increase the threat of terrorism.  That may be true, since we unnecessarily provoked them to begin with.  But the real reason that we won't pull out any time soon is that it's certainly not going to be done during this administration.  After they leave, they figure, "who cares."

They don't give a damn about Iraqi's any more than they care about Afghani's.  They only want enough, just enough, stability to get the programs they want secured, such as the natural gas pipeline.  Beyond that, they can drown for all they care.
