Let me go slowly for you Patrick. Initially you squared off.on Al. Al was talking about our minimum wage.
Your pretty bright there Roger you picked up on that?
To which you said in your ever tactful style "Yeah except that the U.S. capitalism and economy kicks Australia's into the Down Under. Why do you think that is?" (see here you are the jock shoving the kid in the band who looked at you funny) ((Not realizing that the other jocks, you think are standing behind you, are off - busy, being indicted))
David responded simply about the comparative size and scale of our population. No argument is to be had there.
Wrong Roger if you DaveB was making a simple point. We know he supports socialism bordering on ??? It is the type argument all you yahoos on the left throw out like we on the right are idiots for not coming to the same conclusion. We just think you guys are idiots for not having any common sense.
Then in the same post you state "Upping the minimum wage has a negative impact on the economy by putting unnecessary constraints on business's bottom line. "
Which to me seems like a very corporate-centric position. Boo-F'n Hoo to the "bottom line", Screw the living wage for the worker, every company must continue to profit on the backs of the lowest employee. Never mind that gasoline, heating oil, property values (even though property can apparently be yanked away from you now.) are all on a cost upswing.
Roger who do you think hurts most from increasing the minimum wage? The big fat corporations you guy's lothe? Hell no it's the small mom and pop companies that were (past tense) the backbone of our country. Why don't you survey them after we increase the minimum wage to see which ones survive?
Your logic chip is screwy, and quit possibly set in "aggressive" mode. There is no debate to be had with you, only a shout down, and I don't want to play.
Let me spell this out for you Roger:
The point was made by Big Al (great music bad politics):
U.S. is a bad nation, see how they treat the minimum wage?
Counterpoint Pat:
How did the U.S. get where it is at? Upping the minimum wage is counter productive in a capitalistic society
Counterpoint David:
Could it not be because of our natural resources
Counterpoint Pat:
Pretty simplistic argument if you ask me David
Counter point Roger
I give up what was your counterpoint?
Aren't you supposed to be on border patrol anyway ??? Making sure the (as you called them link) "Dumb Beaners" don't get through to take your and my lawn service jobs??
That was an over the top link. Your using to divert away from the topic
