Oh EEE! Hate to disappoint you but guess who's shilling for GM now? They had a good thing with Seger's "Like a Rock" tagline. Now they're using Mellancamp's "Now more than ever". Not only that but I think he re-recorded it for them because it's not the album version. Unless it's the version from that acoutic album thingy he did. Haven't heard it.Agree with you though. Mellencamp recorded some seminal albums in the mid-80s (Uh-Huh, Lonesome Jubilee, Scarecrow) that are very inductee worthy. His charity work is also commendable. He will get in though but it won't be until later years when he will be compared against a large crop of less-worthy acts from the 80s and 90s. He'll look like a giant compared to Bon Jovi and Huey Lewis and the News.
