Right after Joe Strummer's death I placed a small posting here figuring it might stir some interest among any Clash fans who might be lurking. Apart from a few responses (thanks Kyle and whomever also had something to say) there was not much of a response. I was and am surprised that more of you didn't bite. I believe the influence of The Clash rivals any band that emerged in the last 20 years. Below is a lengthy but enlightening tribute to Joe from the leader of the late band, Rage Against The Machine. If you're not interested, just skip this thread, but if you want to better understand the impact that The Clash had on countless musicians (and listeners like myself), take the time to read it.
