Reg,
I definitely appreciate the experimental nature of what they do. Yes, that voice does drive me up the wall, but interestingly enough, there is one track called "Buggin'", where the vocal harmony is some of the tightest I have heard in many years (in some ways like early Byrds), so that is a departure from Wayne's scratchy, tortured sound, meaning he can certainly sing in a very mellow manner when he wants to. Shades of Neil Young, I agree. I think they have a web site with some downloads or samples, so just for curiosity sake, I might check out the Yoshimi tracks. I'll see if I can find your earlier post in the archives.
Thanx,
Gene
