i continue to see/hear rave reviews, especially about the most recent "Illinoize" album.

in august, knowing nothing but his name, i saw him with his 8-(?)-piece ensemble at the bowery ballroom in nyc. he and the ensemble, billed as the "illinoizemakers" were dressed as cheerleaders, and they performed several great choreographed cheers for illinois cities. the arrangements that they pulled off live were impressive.

i bought that cd at the show, but really haven't listened to it much.
