I'm all for letting John Mayer stretch his wings a bit more.The trio thing didn't work for me either save some of his fantastic guitar work.Maybe he should enlist ex-Double Trouble members Tommy Shannon and Whipper to really delve into the blues.Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan are such slick studio players it seemed a bit too "Power Station".
