Not liking Cohen’s voice [“...hate Leonard Cohen's voice, completely and utterly...”] might be a deal breaker here, but I’d suggest the album New Skin for the Old Ceremony...if you’ve never heard it. A fit & feisty pretty French lady turned me on to it around 5,500 feet up in the Los Padres National Forest (so maybe that’s why I still dig it to this day, but...).
