"Throwayays"

better than 80% of the shite we burn (Pat, Kathtryn and Al,  you know what I mean) for friends.

"Grace" is slowly becomming the masterpiece of generation X and Y. It has influenced  an unbelievable amount of artists. I fecking love "Last Goodbye" Not sure if it sounds anything like TheVerve.Hell, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page even said it was the best record of the 90's. Unfortunately, One would never know what he would have produced afterward and I don't believe "Sketches..." should have ever been released. Seeing the man perform live was were he excelled and his "Live at Sin-e' Deluxe Version is a prime example. I only got to see him once (detailed on this site before), it was an amazing experience. Jeff had "it".

As for the song and the songwriter: He took an amzing song done by a living legend and made it sound as if it was his own. Now, no one will be able to record this song without comparisons to Jeff's. But that one song does not make Jeff a whole nor does it take anything away from one of the best fecking singer/songwriters around.

Btw, John Cale does mean version of that song as well, it's the one that made an impression on Jeff.
