I tried Absinthe once and don't need to again. It tasted awful. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. YECH.
If you like Anise flavored liqueurs, I'd recommend Pernod over Absinthe any day. At least that's enjoyable. Absinthe is god-awful swill, in the Moonshine category of things...
