i have been a huge dan bern fan for a couple years.

a lack of focus has caused me to own only 2 things:

the "boy dog van" ep is 6 great songs. diverse subjects: dan bern = messiah, kennedy and jesse james and joan of arc and kurt cobain, racism, alien abduction... and a simple beautiful song about the oklahoma city bombing.

the "smartie mine" double cd is much longer, equally diverse.

if someone had posted this 2 months ago, maybe i'd have figured out that dan was coming to alaska in february. it's too late to implore him to come up to fairbanks, so maybe i'll make the 6-hour drive down south to anchorage.
