It's just been that kind of week I guess. Don't know whether to laugh or cry really. I love Easter and April is my favourite month, and I start feeling alive again. Mowed the lawn for the first time this year yesterday and it was warm. And yet for every special moment (yesterday it was Unity trying to kick a football and landing on her brother instead who was lying on the ground...that pause where they all had to think was it funny or not...it was!) there's bad news. LAst night in between reading the posts here and cooking a late supper for wife and myself I got distracted by George Galloway doing his show on radio going on about global warming...a british professor just a few days ago warning of impending disaster...and just before that a rant by the new Pope that came across as decidely puritannical. I keep having these morbid thoughts that the world is fucked and it will fall into the hands of fundamental Muslims and Christians who wouldn't hesitate to put me in a concentration camp, or possibly you too. I care about keeping the world an open and vibrant place for children. Yes the world is full of evil but the Pope isn't giving any solutions...and so as a parent I not only have to explain myself to my kids I have to attempt to hand the torch to them, and yet I think we're heading for some global meltdown...a bit like the opening scene of Lord of the Rings Hope you all have a peaceful Easter
