Icon The Worm Has Turned (On Me) HELP

Greetings,

A worm/virus/whatever has attached itself to my computer. When I am able to get on-line, an anti-spyware webpage pops up, offering to scan my computer for free. It's called AntiSpyLab.com. I imagine it's not a legitimate company as it probably infected me, and if I avail myself of their "free" scan, I may be further infecting the computer. This has been going on for almost a week. I have Norton anti-virus, and  Microsoft spyware software, but this nasty little bugger made its way into the computer.  Does anyone have any suggestions on the best approach to take? I know someone who used a company who can dial into my computer and take control of it, while they do repairs. I imagine this will run me in excess of $100. Has anyone experienced something like this? Note: in the course of typing this, the advertisement popped up 3 times, and I was able to X out of it and get back to this page. And YES, I do have anti-pop-up protection which works for everything BUT this pop-up. Basically, I'm looking for the easiest way to proceed, if that is possible.

Thanks,

Peter T.
