*** Am I mistaken or do you get the sense that punk or quasi-punk bands (Clash, Jam, Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers) aren't given much notice by our fellow Baerwald admirers? ***

I'll admit it; I've never liked punk. I like my music a little more polished, melodic and (dare I say it?) progressive. Punk, to me, is the complete opposite of what I enjoy in music. I happen to find sloppy, noisy, abrasive, and generally hard to listen to. To this day I cannot understand the popularity of the Sex Pistols. I guess I'm more interested in the "music" and the talent beneath it rather than the "attitude". Believe me Peter, I am not chiding you for enjoying punk. I just don't happen to "get it".

But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are so many different genres of music everyone can find what appeals to them. Like I said, I prefer my music in the "progressive" vein. Now here's a genre reviled by just about everyone, especially the punks in the 70's and 80's. I've heard prog called pompous, pretentious and over blown. Oh well. We both like what we like and that's all that matters. No one should be castigated because the like any type of music; even punk!  ;*))

Well, maybe rap...

Stay warm my friend.
