In trying to remain a people of LIBERTY & Perseverance in the face of iniquity, …lets perhaps not allow ourselves to slip into something just a bit more uncomfortable:  …Like jack boots and swastikas and “Wo ist Dein papier!?” or some symbolic likenesses of said.

I don’t know:  Highway cameras and my-way-or-the-highway-siphon-like tax legislations … and corporate national bankruptcy while outsourcing to-the-winds & dishing-out 20% salary increases and ludicrous golden parachutes to the big tomatoes as a BOD [get-richer-scheme] rule-of-thumb … and soap opera of state keeping the eyes/ears trained in empty directions etc. …are all just too convenient a means of rape & pillage IMHO.   What ever happened to my (YOUR/OUR) Sea to Shining Sea? 

On the way home from the coast we will likely detour and do the loop around DC, see the sites and talk about America with our sons.  I never thought I’d be saying this, but I’m struggling hard with what to say to them.  It’s been so difficult to pass down a sense of patriotism/national devotion or the like to two very inspired and accomplished young men…born perhaps @ the wrongest of modern times.  They do so deserve to inherit a truer version of this country’s best laid intentions….
