Agree entirely. They should play until they collapse, or sweat blood rather than penalty kicks. Even if the match goes on for days, and they need to give the players IV fluids.
Hockey used to have this during Stanley Cup. They'd play period after period of overtime until there was a winning goal. Now it's the shoot-out. What crap. I'm not sure what the record is, Krav, you would know, but I think it was a Montreal game in the 50's where they played until something like 2 or 3 AM until the winning goal was scored. The game lasted around 4 hours. Now that's some hockey!
