I thought that '04 was the most important Presidential election we ever had. That's why both parties put up their absolute best and brightest.....
There is historical precedent for a Presidential election during a pointless unwinnable war that we got into because of (arguably)bungled military policy. The result was Nixon.
Hopefully we fare better in 2 years, but the luster of the office has been completely destroyed by the last 6 years of the anti-president. The bar has been lowered so much that Cooter from Hazzard County seems an inspiring choice.
On a brighter note, in was wonderful to watch the always-inspiring Ralph Reed concede in his attempt to win the Georgia primary for Lt. Governor, and Cynthia McKinney (my vote for most dispensible human on earth) is forced to a runoff for her House seat. Karma is sometimes slow to respond, but usually gets around to it. :)
