First, from Time Magazine, "Life In Hell: Baghdad Diary", http://www.time.com/time/archive/preview/0,10987,1223363,00.htmlIf someone can read this and still feel positive about Iraq, please send me what you are on. I want some of it. The second, "Double Blind" from The Atlantic.http://www.keepmedia.com/pubs/TheAtlantic/2006/04/01/1551860?ba=a&bi=0&bp=7"Double Blind" is an article about the UK being able to flip members of the IRA to become spies. This article is about how far the UK was willing to go to keep their spies alive and productive and believe me, after reading this article, it was a very, very long way (ignoring IRA bombings, murder and assassinations). These are two of the best long form essays I have read this year. Strongly recommend then.
