I finally got around to watching Amalie, not anmie but.... I liked it very much. I have to be in a certain frame of mind to watch a subtitled film. I'm glad I DVR'd it from IFC. ( shown uncut with no commercials ) A lot of the subtitles went by too fast and I was able to backup when needed. The film is beautifully shot and sometimes reading distracts one from appreciating the cinemotography. It would be worth a second look just to take it all in. It was a sweet, quirky story with a heartwarming message.
