See...when I was little...ok, early teens, hollywood folks with weird facial hair invaded my town and made the movie..."The Day After" with Jason Robards and it was really cool. Kinda like Godzilla trashes your town without the bad dubbing and heaps of "giant lizard dung" lying about.

As if that wasn't enough, this CBS(?) Jericho film is being shot right in the neighborhood where my office is. It's such a big deal, they're changing the name of North Lawrence to Jericho. Perhaps the revenue generated by the celebration will get us some money to fix the potholes and the drainage problems up on 4th and Lyons. Anyhow, the governor, some actors and semi-local musicians are going to be there. Me, it's my wife's birthday so we'll skip town and avoid the madness.
