The points you make about France are valid but they bring up the following questions;
1) If the French have such a huge (muslim) immigration problem, what are they doing to correct it?
2) Is it possible the French govenment is against any war with Iraq because of the thousands of muslims in France? Is Chirac afraid to support the US because he is afraid these muslims will retaliate?
3) It is well known that the French have already signed lucrative oil deals with Saddam. Which is worse; going to war for oil (which I still believe is not our intent) or continuing to allow a brutal dictator to terrorize and foster terrorism so your country can buy his oil?
The French have some very serious issues to deal with right now. They're "damned if they do and they're damned if they don't." They have to face their crisis head on. Being afraid and burying their head in the sand is not going to help.
