Pat, you know God damned well that Bush with the support of a Republican-controlled Congress has acted above and beyond the law. You are acting like this is a new thing. There are things that go on Freddy that you do not want to know and do not need to know but unfortunately we have an overzealous press who do not have National Security's best interest in mind. They are either trying to make ratings or slam the Bush administration. They amplify the wrong things and ignore major events. Did we ever hear of one person dying during a torture session? I have'nt. But I do know we have not had another attack here
Now, in dire need of protection before the elections, they insulate themselves from prosecution. What weasels. I mean, who the FU** do these people think they are to represent us when they condone torture?
They are Americans trying to save you sorry unappreciative ass. I will draw the line when they get pissed at a detainee and cut his head off and send a video feed to the Al Jazeera network.
And how in the FU** does Bush suggest that Democrats don't have "the stomach" for dealing with terrorists? As if torture were the only solution?
Well lets see Freddy. Oh yeah should we go back to the Carter and Clinton administrations? Hmmmnnn cut defense funding and do nothing after repeated attacks against the U.S.
If these guys were real men, they would stand upon their convictions and answer to existing laws. Instead, they invent laws to protect themselves. What cowards.
If I thought the Dems would stand up to the challenge I might be with you on this but they will cower to world opinion and go directly after Bush. Their playbook is so predicatable
But, worse, the media has not picked up on this. The media is skewing the truth going on here. The real story is (a) Rice/Tenent, (b) Bush immunity from Geneva Convention autrocities, and oh, (c) Foley's e-mails.....................
Hey this is early October, give the press some time. They have till early November to pull this off.
Now, what is getting most attention, and what is most important for Americans to hear?
