Not to get way off-topic or annihilate this thread……..

Into wisps of boredom & stuff of bad breath & flatulence,

But your response has had me thinking about why  I

Suppose I’ve been so … moved by this little film.

I’m not sure I can explain it, but please allow

Me to try in verse form ~ knowing I am so

Aware that it just pisses people here off

To no end…or leaves an empty hole

Where some other more apt dis-

Cussion…could have occured.

I don’t know, but it seems like there’s so much

More to be disappointed about in this day & age

& far less to celebrate.  …With the potential of

Humankind-at-our-finest, …one would think

It’d be the other way around in this 21st

Century.  WE shoulda been able to

Flip Orwell the bird and create ~

But such … is the growth of man.

I suppose it wasn’t all that hard to predict:

That we’d be run into ruin by our complacency,

Our able bodied propagation, & those who’d

Rule the $$ with strong ideas of monopoly.

So a sadder hope, like that portrayed in this film,

Suggests, IMHO, an opportunity to celebrate

Something less jovial & more personal:

The human capability to…discover

Empathy through error, sincere

Remorse, catharsis & an

…Act of forgiveness

Even if it all ends tomorrow,

We have that: that reward man

Has attained in a small plenty.

Although perhaps not those

Who hold in their dirty hands

The means to an end…& opt to

Use it against the energies of

Benevolence & mind's eye….

If each man or woman could understand that every other human life is as full of sorrows, or joys, or base temptations, of heartaches and of remorse as his own . . . how much kinder, how much gentler he would be.
