I have tried--really really tried--to get into Sufjan, but I can't read him any other way than pretentious and overly self-conscious. It's not that the music's bad, I just can't find any depth to it.OTH, I've been deep into Neko Case, Minus The Bear, and The Hold Steady lately. Also picked up Xmas tunes from Aimee Mann and Leigh Nash and have been impressed by both.
