Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing a Miles session, but for my pick it'd be Bitches Brew anyday over Kind of Blue.  

Have you ever seen the film "Straight, no Chaser" the documentary about Monk?  It has great footage of him in the recording studio with Teo Macero, and there was a part where they wouldn't let him hear a playback that he wanted to redo; he get's real pissed and mumbles under his breath. It was astounding how little control he had over the session.  I find that mindblowing; it was like whomever was paying for the recording ran the whole show, and he was just supposed to sit down and play and do what they told him to do.
