Rocky Balboa
Whether or not you get it, whether or not you ever got it;
the chief idea @ the nucleus of this epic story, …that
which resides in the cellar of the fictional gent
called “Rock”, …is not put to rest here.
The tide is turning (…play like u
couldn’t really care less ~~
chic & apropos of a dismal
Twenty-first Century pathos
gone blank with angst or ire’s
apathetic rank & file contempt
if you must, but it’s false.)
…Silvester.
The heart of humanity…
is bubbling there beneath the surface,
like a pressured fissure with an
outlook of inferno passion.
This iz a noteworthy little flick.
M’ hat’s off to ya, Sylvester Stalone.
What an honorable way to send-off
The Greatest Fighter who never lived....
[...Saw Rocky Balboa with my kid today; he’s just two years older than I was when I saw the opening of Rocky (’76) with my dad. It was (believe-it-or-not) the first flick I’d seen in an indoor movie theater, …& it made a powerful impression on me. So did today’s retrospective renaissance of parallel good energies with m’ son…who dug it thisssssssssssssssss much. Lampoon the story or not, it celebrates humanity.]
Happy Christmas [if applicable] & an Inspired New Year
