Hi Peter...i'm sorry...i should not have assumed what i did in forming my response to you. you are spot on in your take on the war in iraq but let me ask you this...had saddam had wmd and used them, exported them or refined them would you still feel your approach would have been the right way to go. i'm not saying you got lucky in your assessment of the situation but there was a real possibility that this could have played out much differently...do you agree? what do you feel we should do (if anything) about iran or n/korea and their push to become a nuclear (or nucular if you like) power?

i'm not against going after bush if he in fact did lie about the intelligence leading up to the war. if he knew there was no wmd then that would be good enough for me to take him down as that was one of the main reasons for going to war. i think reasonable people can agree that there was more than one way to interpret the intel. looking back, your interpretation 3 years ago appears to be the path we should have followed.
