Global warming? It’s up in the air…
Although, even though it's friggin bitter-cold this week, our weather patterns appear to have changed extraordinarily & it would be prudent to act as a whole to establish what we-the-people are responsible for. No? If the almighty gold & silver trade is given carte blanche over all decisions made, as has been the case, then only the applicable party-liners stand to raise the flag. A black flag…seen colorful by only certain predisposed eyes.
Whenever two mighty-pompous & venerable factions take opposing sides, the shit gets deep and who knows who to believe anymore. & that alone is an infinite sorrow. Some things make a lick of sense & others don’t. A poignant fact, sadly it seems, is that our civilization, peopled primarily by well-marketed-team-pickers, will side with their party-line prerogatives over their own conscience. Pick a winner/don’t be a looser. Maybe thee most original sin…& the teary-eyed guffaw of all teary-eyed guffaws. If this disciple aspect of our present civics does not change into wisdom born of personal experience & common sense soon, then perhaps we are fckd. NO winner, only mass across-the-board losses...via the king's mob rules.
Corresponding abstract: Do I think schools should be closed because it’s freaking cold outside? No, I think it’s a sign of wussy-bulllshidt times of distraction & pettiness! Bundle ‘em up and send ‘em trekking with guts and adventure in their eyes. & those who think kids who put more hours & best effort into their sport should not get achievement specific trophies? Well that’s just middling thinking (yes, I fully appreciate that due recognition IS in the accomplishment and a trophy or a medal or whatever is only a thing, but the final score of games with points in the rules…and personal achievement awards are stepping stones to greater efforts…& should not be eliminated for sake of mediocrity. & neither should the act of trudging through a cold wind to get to school.) How is that applicable to this thread? We are granting credence to extraneous issues and overlooking the BIG stuff…& in service of what ultimate goals?
All the rhetoric that goes back n forth between the dividing lines has grown tedious.
It is argument for sake of argument and party line politics. Certainly NOT about establishing scientific and common sense fact…& national liberty & we-the-people & for-sake-of-creation. Anything that counters/squelches the opposition, irregardless of the masses effected, is hung from the flagpole and saluted…in glorious Jingoistic fashion.
& I feel dim-witted even participating in this thread…and any thread like it. & any GOP party-liner herein who speaks-out is going to repeat the mantra ad nauseam while holding to their own originality…& it’s a chuckle, …so I might as well beat my head against a mad bugger’s wall. We are not opposition! We are the people. & the deck is rigged. Like the ol’ poker adage: If you do not know who the sucker is at the table, you are the sucker.
Is man polluting the atmosphere with egregious toxins while raping Earth of her buffers and resources? Well, no shit! Is it enough to kill us and restart the lifecycles of the blue planet…for another mammalian race with opposing thumbs to eventually get greedy and fuck it all up? I don’t know. Will the sun keep burning? Hopefully; for it’s…really…all we need. The rest is semantics and conquest…& for WHOM?
