Josh Marshall has the whole clip... She wasnt putting on a phony accent for her whole speech. That particular clip is of her reciting a hymn from Rev. Cleveland. For some reason she decided to recite that particular hymn in that strange way, but she wasnt pretending she had a southern accent. It was a strange, and kind of clueless thing to do, but she was not, I repeat, not pretending that she had a Southern accent. She's a dazzlingly awkward speaker, though, particularly in that venue. I think she makes a perfectly adequate if not terribly inspiring Senator from New York. She's probably safe in that seat, but I really dont want her to win these primaries, and would be extremely surprised if she did. Cassandra may have a different perspective.
