Dale, I have absolutely no problem with prosecuting anyone-
Republican, Democrat, or Lieberman- who has violated the public
trust by lying, stealing, cheating, conspiring, bribing, embezzling,
or making shit up in order to go to war.
A perp is a perp is a perp. There are always perps in our
system
because our system breeds them (so do most everyone else's
systems- I just wanted to get that out before you jump down my
throat). There have been times in American history when the
Democrats were the Alpha-perps.
This is decidedly NOT one of those times. My meager reading
of US
history suggests to me that the current Republican Administration
may be the most crime-soaked, morally bankrupt, self-
aggrandizing herd of perps in US history.
Yes, all crimes should be prosecuted. To suggest that some
sort of
Code of Hammurabi be invoked though- "an eye for an eye" - i.e.
prosecute one Republican then prosecute one Democrat in the
interest of "fair and balanced" is ridiculous. The scales are nearly
completly tilted to the Republican side of the aisle.
Start with the biggest and most obvious: the one that's doing
the
most harm.
